About the Role

DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure & Automation

  : Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform/Ansible/etc.), and automated deployment strategies.

• Cloud & Systems Management

  : Build and scale services on

  Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  (and optionally AWS/Azure), ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and cost efficiency.

• Monitoring & Reliability

  : Establish and manage observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, Stackdriver) to keep systems resilient and performant.

• Security & Compliance

  : Implement DevSecOps practices—manage secrets, monitor vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Collaboration

  : Work closely with developers, QA, and product teams to streamline releases and reduce friction between code and production.

• Incident Management

  : Own production uptime—participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot issues, and drive root-cause analysis with a blameless culture.

Qualifications

• Strong background in

  Linux/Unix administration

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage).
• Experience with

  CI/CD tools

  (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI).
• Expertise in

  containerization & orchestration

  (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE).
• Familiarity with

  infrastructure as code

  (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, etc.).
• Knowledge of

  scripting/programming

  (Python, Bash, Go, or similar).
• Strong understanding of

  monitoring, logging, and alerting

  systems (Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

Nice-to-Haves

• Multi-cloud experience (AWS/Azure alongside GCP).
• Experience with

  microservices and serverless architectures

  .
• Background in

  networking fundamentals

  (DNS, load balancing, firewalls).
• Prior experience in a

  startup or high-scale environment

  .
• Exposure to

  FinTech, OTT, or high-frequency content delivery systems

  .
