Desktop Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows/Linux) on desktops and laptops.

• Provide hardware support, including assembly, upgrades, and basic troubleshooting.

• Assist with installation and configuration of standard software and updates.

• Handle basic networking issues including DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewall configuration.

• Set up and troubleshoot MS Outlook (configuration, backup, restore).

• Support user account management in Active Directory (add/delete/disable).

• Manage BitLocker encryption and recovery processes.

• Install and troubleshoot network printers and scanners.

• Perform antivirus installation, update, and system virus protection checks.

• Provide remote desktop support and on-site troubleshooting as needed.

• Coordinate with hardware vendors for repairs and warranty claims.

• Maintain inventory of IT assets (hardware and software).

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems

• Familiarity with networking protocols and concepts

• Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook

• Good problem-solving and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Eagerness to learn and grow within the IT field

Educational Qualification:

• B.Sc / BCA / B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• 10th & 12th mandatory

• Diploma candidates are not Eligible
