About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team. The role involves providing technical support, troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth functioning of end-user systems, software, and hardware. You will act as the first point of contact for IT-related issues and play a key role in maintaining high-quality IT support standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and hardware.
• Troubleshoot software, network, and connectivity issues.
• Manage user accounts, access rights, and system security in coordination with IT policies.
• Perform regular system updates, patch management, and backups.
• Log, track, and resolve IT support tickets within defined SLAs.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and replacements.
• Assist in IT asset management, documentation, and inventory tracking.
• Provide on-site and remote support to users as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office Suite, and basic networking concepts.
• Experience with antivirus, email configuration, and remote desktop tools.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Customer-oriented approach with patience and professionalism.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, and ITIL processes.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT documentation.
• Basic understanding of LAN/WAN troubleshooting.
