Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Desktop Support Engineer L1 located in the Kalyan location. The Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support for desktop computers, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and offering printer support. Daily tasks include diagnosing and resolving technical problems, setting up hardware, and maintaining computer systems for optimal performance.


Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and technical support for desktops, laptops, and IT peripherals. 
  • Provide Level 1 & Level 2 technical support to end-users 
  • Install, configure, and update operating systems and applications. 
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues. 
  • Manage user accounts, email setup, and IT security compliance. 
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation. 
  • Ensure proper functioning of wireless networks (Wi-Fi setup, access points). 
  • Perform cable testing, patching, and network hardware replacement. 

 

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field. 
  • 1–3 years of desktop support or IT helpdesk experience. 
  • Knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office 365, Active Directory, and networking basics. 
  • Strong troubleshooting and Basic communication skills. 
  • Certifications like CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCSA, or ITIL are an added advantage. 

 

 

 


Qualifications

  • Experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in Desktop Computers and Computer Hardware
  • Skills in Printer Support
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of operating systems and software applications
  • Relevant certifications in IT support or engineering is a plus
