Desktop Engineer will provide first level infrastructure management support for all the IT equipments, serving End user, against the call logged in central call logging tool as per the assigned severity level. If engineer get to know of user problem, he need get the ticket logged and assigned to himself through central helpdesk or on his own.
Doing required software or Hardware diagnosis.
Coordinate with Vendors to resolve the issue.
PC support includes installation support on OS, approved software suite & other associated business applications being used by PC users.
Desktop Engineer will provide end-point software support but not limited to MS OS, M365/ O365, MS Visio, Project, Anti-Virus, Email, ERP etc.
Desktop Engineer will provide hardware support of Desktop/ Laptop/ Printers/ Scanner/ Peripherals. In case of failure of parts, Desktop Engineer will coordinate with AMC vendor to get the spare parts and change the same at client location itself.
Out of AMC support to be provided by onsite engineer, spares will be provided.
For Branch, Plants, Warehouse & Service Centres L1 activities for Network and server issues, level-1 monitoring, logs review, troubleshooting, physical installation, de commissioning, extending remote access to client IT Support group etc.
Desktop Engineer will provide first level Network (Wire & Wireless) support and coordinate with WAN service provider with help of Central Support Team.
Desktop Engineer will ensure standardization policy of using same/ specific versions of software throughout the organization, whenever the directive comes from Corporate Office to change the versions, the Desktop Engineer will support for making such changes uniformly all the Locations and as desired by client.
