Job Title: Design Engineer (Warehouse Automation & Material Handling Systems) Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India Client: SOT- Science of Talent Acquisition Reports To: Functional Head / Head Position is Reported by: Member / Lead Member Designate / Lead Member Purpose of Job Planning and control of the design process as per the organisation's system requirements Review of completeness and correctness of design Key Responsibilities Should have a strong understanding of creative and technical aspects of Engineering Design Creation of Work Breakdown Creation of GA Layouts, design integration, and identifying design interface Design time planning, monitoring, review, checking, and issue resolution of tasks System integration design and concept Cycle time, throughput calculation, product verification and validation, budget preparation, and evaluation Cross-functional leadership for leading technical tasks Preparation of DAP documents and discussion meeting with customers Managing the work pool, their tasks, and activities Experience with product design and development is preferable Design review, design checking, DFMEA Creation and execution of a test plan for system performance and issue resolution at the same time Meetings Meeting with resources for active task management Meeting with Leader / RM Internal department meeting for release and CCR (Completeness and Correctness Review) Meeting with the build and vendor team at the shop floor – planning, clarity, review, issue update at the shop floor Meeting with customer for design discussion and approval (as per instruction from RM/Leader) Reports Daily timesheet update Daily planning, review, and update in MPT for tasks and issues Daily monitoring of design releases Internal: Leader / Resource Manager Leader / Lead Member – Build/Vendor/Machine Shop Team / Standard Design Leader / Leader / Portfolio Manager – Project External: Customer Supplier – Manufacturing / Bought out Leader / Leader / Portfolio Manager – Design outsourcing supplier Minimum Qualification BE / B.Tech / M.Tech / Diploma (Mechanical / Production Engineering) 14–22 years experience (7 years experience in Warehouse Automation, Material Handling Systems) Exposure: Project-based company, Machine Design / Design of Cranes, Conveyors, Elevators, ASRS, Material Handling Well-versed with ERP, MS Office Design Tool: Solid Edge / AutoCAD / FEMAP Note: 1.
