Design Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Design Manager to join our growing interior design team. This role requires an individual who can lead and manage a team of 5–7 designers, handle client interactions, prepare and manage BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and drive project revenue by securing advance payments from clients through effective negotiation and design presentations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in design tools and be comfortable conducting site visits to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, guide, and mentor a team of 5–7 interior designers.

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing relationships professionally and ensuring design expectations are met.

• Prepare, review, and finalize BOQs in collaboration with the team and clients.

• Negotiate and collect 50% project payment from clients based on approved designs.

• Oversee the entire design process from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality output and timely delivery.

• Coordinate and conduct site visits as needed to understand client requirements, manage progress, and resolve any on-site design issues.

• Ensure effective utilization of design software tools to produce high-quality design presentations and working drawings.

• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and innovations to inspire the team and improve processes.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in interior design, with at least 2 years in a team management or supervisory role.

• Proficiency in design tools such as SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, AutoCAD, and other relevant software.

• Strong leadership and people management skills.

• Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to negotiate, present, and build long-term relationships.

• Good understanding of project budgeting, BOQ preparation, and cost management.

• Willingness to travel to client sites as required.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹85,000.00 per month
