Job Title: Design Engineer – SolidWorks Experience: 3-4 Years Location: Bengaluru Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer with expertise in SolidWorks to support product feasibility, design validation, and technical documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 2D & 3D drawings , material planning, and project execution while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Maintain the RFQ Register and ensure timely updates. Study and analyze basic 2D & 3D drawings along with specifications. Conduct product feasibility studies and create technical feasibility reports. Acknowledge receipt of projects and define target submission dates. Prepare and manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) . Compile Raw Material (RM) and Standard Part (STD) requirements for projects. Coordinate with suppliers or internal teams to float requirements and obtain quotes. Develop Preliminary Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Control Plans (CP) for prototype readiness. Prepare APQP timing plans and define milestones for project execution. Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and process documentation, including work instructions. Validate processes for stamping, welding (Brazing, Spot welding, TIG & MIG), machining . Provide regular project updates to management & Project Managers (PM) until project handover to production. Implement problem-solving strategies and action plans to resolve technical challenges and improve efficiency. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency in SolidWorks for 2D & 3D modeling. Strong analytical skills for technical feasibility assessments . Experience in APQP, FMEA, BOM preparation, and process validation . Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as welding, stamping, machining . Ability to coordinate with suppliers, internal teams, and management .
