Design Engineer

Position Summary: We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and self-driven design engineer to develop products, mostly plastic, that are used in various industries such as pharma, biopharma, laboratory, food and beverage, microbiology, molecular biology, etc., as per the customer and market requirements.

You will be involved in the product design and development process, which includes product design, Tool/Mold Development, vendor development, procurement planning, cost analysis, product trials, etc., but is not limited to any of these roles.

Essential Job Functions:

Analyze product specifications and requirements to determine designs.

Preparation of product or system layout and detailed drawings and schematics

Analyze operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified products.

Plans and develops experimental test programs.

Handle the end-to-end new product development process.

Good knowledge of plastic material & its related properties.

Good understanding of the manufacturing process, which includes plastic welding, molding, failure analysis, and process optimization.

Manage multiple projects at the same time.

Develop prototype and ensure our designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer requirements

Define and set the costing BOM.

Work on a documentation and certification for new/modified products

Analyse test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications

Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.

Maintain a log of product communications and changes

Maintain a project book containing the documentation directed by management.

Supports the preparation of quotations as required.

Responsible for supporting the Department Quality System and following any procedures or work instructions provided for assigned projects.

Qualifications:

Good knowledge of product designing and analysis software, which includes SolidWorks, CATIA, Ansys, Unigraphics, etc.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and technical procedures.

Hands-on experience on drawing updates & maintaining designs and documentation.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint)

Education & Experience Required:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering

Maximum 3 years’ of experience in engineering and project management

Proficient in SolidWorks and product designing software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,591.77 - ₹30,000.00 per month
