DESIGN ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL)

Location: Mahim, Mumbai Experience Required: 4-6 Years Salary: ₹10-12 LPA Education: BE/B Tech in Electrical Engineering Industry: MEP/Marine Contracting Field of Work: Electrical Key Responsibilities Electrical Design Optimization – Create and refine design documentation for electrical power and control systems to enhance efficiency, reliability, and compliance. Equipment Selection & Sizing – Determine appropriate specifications for electrical starters, motors, transformers, VFDs, EMI-EMC, and harmonics management based on system requirements. Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) & Load Lists – Prepare and verify SLDs, electrical load lists, and schematics to ensure accurate design execution. Cable Selection & Earthing Design – Identify appropriate cable types and earthing methodologies to maintain safety and system integrity. Material Quantification – Prepare Bills of Materials (BoM) ensuring accurate estimation and procurement of electrical components Technical Compliance Documentation – Draft and review technical documents to maintain compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Factory & Site Acceptance Tests (FAT & SAT) – Conduct FAT/SAT inspections at vendors' locations, ensuring equipment performance aligns with design expectations. Failure Analysis & Troubleshooting – Perform root cause analysis to diagnose failures and implement effective solutions. Site Coordination – Address site-related queries, liaising with teams to resolve electrical challenges effectively. Technical Skills Electrical equipment sizing, starter motors, transformers, VFDs, EMI-EMC, harmonics Expertise in SLD preparation, load list verification, cable selection, and earthing techniques.
