We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in pressure vessel design, ASME codes, and fabrication detailing. The ideal candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and advanced tools such as Codeware Compress and FEA software. A strong understanding of ASME Section VIII, ASME-BPE, and international structural/seismic design codes is essential.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze pressure vessels, reactors, tanks & skids as per ASME Section VIII Div 1, ASME-BPE, and global standards.

• Perform mechanical calculations: shell/head thickness, nozzle reinforcement, wind & seismic loads, support design, weld sizing, etc.

• Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, or similar tools.

• Prepare complete fabrication drawings, welding details, nozzle orientations, and isometric piping drawings.

• Develop design dossiers, BOMs, and as-built documentation.

• Provide engineering support during fabrication, shop inspections, and client FATs.

🛠 Skills & Abilities

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD & SolidWorks

• Advanced knowledge of ASME Section VIII, ASME-BPE, TEMA, and fabrication standards

• Hands-on experience in FEA-based stress analysis

• Understanding of seismic & wind load calculations (UBC/IBC/IS/EN)

• Knowledge of welding design, WPS/PQR & cleanroom equipment (preferred)

• Ability to interpret P&IDs, layouts & piping configurations

• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor junior engineers

📌 Experience Required

• 5–8 years in pressure vessel/process equipment design (biotech, pharma, chemical, food industries).

• Experience with FEA tools for structural verification and compliance.

• Exposure to ASME U Stamp fabrication environments is a strong advantage.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and preferably Codeware Compress.

🎓 Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
