Job Summary:

AutoCAD Draftsman Engineer

Role Description

• Develop 2D fabrication drawings for pressure vessels, tanks, bioreactors, and skids based on design inputs.
• Prepare piping layouts, nozzle orientation drawings, support structures, and isometric drawings.
• Draft and annotate welding details, section views, and bill of materials (BOM).
• Generate as-built drawings based on site/fabrication team markups.
• Maintain and organize drawing revisions, ensuring proper documentation control.
• Coordinate with design engineers to incorporate calculation data and client specifications.
• Interpret P&IDs, GA drawings, and specifications to ensure drafting accuracy.
• Assist in preparing shop floor drawings for fabrication and assembly teams.

Skill and Ability

• Proficiency in

  AutoCAD 2D

  drafting (3D knowledge is a plus).
• Strong understanding of

  fabrication practices

  ,

  material standards

  , and

  welding symbols

  .
• Ability to read and draft based on

  P&IDs

  , mechanical layouts, and structural concepts.
• Familiarity with

  ASME standards

  , especially for pressure vessels and piping (preferred).
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple drawing packages and meet project timelines.

Experiance

• 2–4 years of experience in drafting for

  pressure vessels, piping, and skid-based systems

• Proficient in

  AutoCAD

  ; knowledge of

  SolidWorks

  or other CAD tools is an added advantage.

Qualifications Required:

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Drafting Technology.
