Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 1. Industrial Relations (IR): Build and maintain strong relationships with trade unions and government labor authorities. Lead negotiations, settlements, and grievance redressal with a strategic and business-aligned approach Ensure 100% compliance with all labor laws Factories Act, ID Act, CLRA, etc. Manage discipline processes, domestic inquiries, and ensure proper documentation and closure Monitor industrial climate and proactively mitigate potential disruptions. 2. Human Resource Management (HRM): Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a high-performance culture. Oversee manpower planning, recruitment for workmen & staff, and skill development initiatives. Collaborate with HODs for performance management, training needs analysis, and L&D programs. Ensure effective onboarding, policy implementation, and adherence to HR SOPs. Maintain and audit employee records in LMS and other HR systems. 3. Compliance & Audit: Ensure timely submission of statutory returns and reports. Liaise with external agencies, auditors, and legal consultants for compliance matters. Lead internal audits and compliance assessments, and close any gaps in labor practices. Key Requirements: Postgraduate in HR/IR/Labour Welfare from a reputed institute (e.g., MBA/MSW/MLW). Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in IR & HRM in a large manufacturing setup. Strong exposure to unionized environments and handling long-term settlements. Sound knowledge of Indian labor laws, compliance, and social accountability audits. Proficient in HRMS/LMS systems and data analytics. Having experience in North East Location is mandatory
