Deputy General Manager

You will be assisting the Head of Projects in the execution activities for building construction of designated buildings. This includes developing and driving an execution plan to ensure timely delivery under ambiguous and stressed timelines. You should have knowledge of project management and construction management to coordinate between Architecture, Structure, and MEP drawings and identify necessary changes. Understanding company processes to facilitate project performance and ensuring compliance and timelines will be essential. Recommending process improvements for efficiency, cost reduction, and productivity will be part of your responsibilities. Coordinating with various functions and agencies like planning, commercial, corporate affairs, consultants, and contractors is crucial. Your operational role will involve executing work at the site according to project scope, key milestones, quality, and design expectations. Monitoring Civil, MEP, and External Development construction activities carried out by contractors, tracking daily project performance, and ensuring adherence to the annual operations plan will be key tasks. Ensuring quality execution and timely completion as per schedule, material management, inventory planning, and implementing best practices of E, H&S will also be part of your responsibilities. Financially, you will need to ensure that all civil/construction works are within budgeted limits while adhering to the framework of contracts. You should have the ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams to maximize project objectives. Defining short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals for the site team, conducting project performance reviews, and presenting progress reports to senior management will be vital. Completing performance appraisals, fostering team building, and ensuring continuous staff development through training and coaching are also crucial aspects of the role. The ideal candidate should have a B Tech in Civil Engineering with 13-15 years of experience in Residential/Commercial Projects. Strong written and verbal communication skills, good presentation skills, and previous experience working with a Real Estate Developer are required for this position.,
