Description
As a Delivery Head at our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of projects, products, or services to clients while managing teams, processes, and client relationships. Your role will involve leading and managing the end-to-end delivery of services or projects, ensuring they meet client expectations in terms of quality, timelines, and budget. You will be managing a team of project managers, service delivery managers, and other resources to ensure the successful execution of projects. Your key responsibilities will include project/service delivery management, team leadership and development, client relationship management, budget and resource management, process improvement and optimization, risk and issue management, reporting and stakeholder communication, and strategic planning and execution. You will be expected to lead and manage the successful delivery of all projects and services within the organization, overseeing the entire project lifecycle from planning to execution and closure, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope. You will also need to ensure the quality of delivery and client satisfaction by addressing any issues promptly and proactively. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of delivery managers, project managers, and other relevant staff, fostering a high-performance culture through continuous coaching, performance reviews, and skill development. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding service delivery and project progress, build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, and address and resolve escalated client issues. Furthermore, you will be required to manage resource allocation across multiple projects to ensure optimum utilization, deliver projects within allocated budget and resource constraints, forecast resource needs, and plan for capacity adjustments as required. You will need to identify opportunities for process improvements in the delivery mechanism, drive the adoption of agile methodologies and project management frameworks, and continuously monitor the performance of delivery teams to optimize operations. Proactively identifying risks and issues that may impact project delivery, ensuring appropriate risk mitigation strategies are in place, and providing regular updates to senior leadership regarding ongoing projects and services are also critical aspects of the role. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with at least 10-15 years of experience in delivery management or a similar role. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with a deep understanding of project management methodologies, are essential. Certifications such as PMP, Agile, or other relevant project management certifications are preferred. Additionally, you should have the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, travel if required, and adapt to changing business needs and environments.
