Job Description

A prominent and rapidly expanding hospitality group is seeking a dedicated and disciplined Demi Chef de Partie. As a DCDP, you will occupy a vital mid-level leadership role within our kitchen. You will be responsible for supporting the Chef de Partie (CDP) in managing a specific section, ensuring that food production meets our high standards of quality, consistency, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

  • Section Management: Oversee the daily operations of an assigned kitchen section, ensuring all "mise-en-place" and food preparation are completed on time.
  • Quality Control: Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, taste, and presentation, ensuring every dish leaving the section meets the group’s benchmarks.
  • Team Support: Assist in supervising, training, and mentoring Commis chefs and kitchen assistants to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Inventory & Ordering: Monitor stock levels, minimize wastage, and assist in placing orders to ensure the section is always well-equipped.
  • Hygiene & Safety: Strictly adhere to and enforce all health, safety, and sanitation regulations (HACCP), ensuring the kitchen remains clean and organized.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Sous Chef and CDP to streamline kitchen workflows and contribute to menu development or special promotions.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 4-6 years of professional kitchen experience.
  • Technical Skill: Strong foundational knowledge of professional cooking techniques and knife skills.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead by example and manage a small team during high-pressure service hours.
  • Efficiency: Excellent time-management skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
  • Education: A Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management is preferred.
  • Attitude: A passion for culinary excellence and a strong desire to learn and grow within the hospitality industry.
