About EntTelligence

Database Engineer / Administrator

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain high-performance relational and NoSQL databases supporting large-scale entertainment analytics workloads.
Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas for reliability and speed.
Collaborate with software developers, data scientists and engineers to integrate database systems into AI models, APIs, and data pipelines.
Monitor database health and performance; identify and resolve bottlenecks, data corruption, or connectivity issues.
Plan and execute database scaling strategies to support rapid data growth.
Implement robust backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity protocols.
Ensure data security, compliance, and integrity across all environments.
Support ETL processes and contribute to evolving our data warehouse architecture.

Required Skills & Experience

5–10 years
of experience as a
Database Engineer
or
Database Administrator
.
Proficiency in
SQL
and major database management systems (
MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server
).
Hands-on experience with
NoSQL databases
such as
MongoDB
.
Strong background in
data modeling
,
scripting languages
, and
business intelligence tools
.
Working knowledge of at least one programming language (
Python
or
Node.js
).
Experience with
AWS cloud services
(RDS, EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).
Expertise in
performance optimization
, including indexing, partitioning, and query tuning.
Proven ability to
troubleshoot database performance and reliability issues
.
Familiarity with
data security, encryption, and compliance standards
(e.g., GDPR, SOC 2).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional technical teams.

Nice to Have

Experience with
ETL tools
(e.g., Airflow, Talend, AWS Glue).
Understanding of
data warehouse design
and modern architectures (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake).
Exposure to
AI/ML pipelines
or analytics products is a plus.
