Database Engineer

As a Database Engineer at eMedEvents, you will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing database systems to ensure seamless integration of data from various sources into the master database. Your responsibilities will include: - **Database Management**: - Administer and maintain existing databases, ensuring data integrity and security. - Re-architect and optimize database design to meet evolving business needs. - **Data Integration**: - Merge and reconcile data from multiple sources into a centralized master database. - Develop strategies for handling large datasets efficiently. - **Performance Optimization**: - Write, review, and optimize complex SQL queries for improved platform performance. - Identify and resolve database performance issues, including indexing and query optimization. - **Elastic Search Implementation**: - Leverage Elastic Search for enhanced search functionality and data retrieval (preferred). - Optimize search operations for faster and more relevant results. **Qualifications**: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields. - Proven experience in database design, development, and optimization. - Advanced knowledge of SQL and query optimization techniques. - Hands-on experience with database platforms such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server. - Familiarity with Elastic Search and its integration. - Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus. - Experience in handling large datasets. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams.
