Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SQL Database Developer to join our engineering team.The candidate will play a critical role in developing, optimizing, and maintaining our database systems to support product development and data analytics.The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, and a strong understanding of data warehousing and OLTP systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the development team to design and implement database models supporting core product development
  • Write and maintain SQL database objects such as views, tables, stored procedures, functions, and triggers
  • Design, develop, and maintain SSIS packages, T-SQL scripts, and SQL jobs for data processing and ETL workflows
  • Create and optimize complex stored procedures to load data into staging tables from OLTP and other intermediary systems
  • Perform database design, normalization, indexing, and query performance tuning
  • Design partitioning strategies for managing archived data efficiently
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and standards for SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and Excel-based analytics tools (Power Pivot, Power View, Power Map)
  • Document technical processes, business requirements, and data specifications for internal use
  • Support database migration activities and implement authorization/authentication protocols
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, security, and scalability

Technical Skills & Requirements

  • Strong experience in database design, schema normalization, and query optimization
  • Proficiency in writing complex Transact-SQL (T-SQL) code
  • Expertise in MS SQL Server, including query tuning, indexing, and performance analysis
  • Experience in developing and optimizing Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, Triggers
  • Knowledge of columnstore indexing, query execution plans, and SQL Server column storage
  • Experience in SSIS for ETL and workflow automation
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms in database systems
  • Experience with database migration and transformation projects
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data warehousing or business intelligence environments
  • Familiarity with Excel Power tools (Power Pivot, Power View, Power Map)
  • Exposure to cloud-based SQL solutions (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus
  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
