About the Agency

 

TBWA is a highly-accoladed global creative agency, known for business-changing, culturechallenging
and award-winning ideas for brands. We’re particularly famous for introducing the
concept of Disruption® to the market, later on trademarked, which remains at the heart of
everything we do.
Within that, the Disruption Accelerator is TBWA’s global centre of excellence for data. Based out of Singapore but servicing more than 30 offices worldwide, the Accelerator helps agency teams get to sharper, more disruptive ideas – by bringing rigour to strategy and creativity through deep
investigation of data and cultural signals. Over the last 7 years, this “data Illuminati” has grown into one of the most critical engines powering TBWA’s strategic and creative output. And we’re now looking for someone to lead its Fast Intelligence & Data Analysis (FIDA) function.
Responsibilities
  • Lead a team that performs advanced statistical analysis to derive key insights and guide creative and marketing strategy.
  • Lead the process of translating data into disruptive insights to create world class RTBs that offer our markets practical solutions.
  • Work closely with the analysts and creative teams to ensure they deliver the best work.
  • Lead the collaborative process with cross-functional teams to align strategy with creative output.
  • Ensure the use of the right business intelligence tools for essential reporting and meet quality assurance metrics.
  • Support and enable better strategic decision-making and creative output.
  • Promote and lead best practices in data-informed decision making.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data strategists to deliver top-quality work
Qualifications
  • 6-9 years of experience in a Data Science Leadership role with a strong focus on the media and marketing industry.
  • Strong grounding in data tools and sources (e.g. GWI, YouGov, Statista, financial and category reports)
  • Able to problem-solve when data isn’t obvious available — investigate open-source and 3rd-party options creatively and turning them into disruptive insights that are easy to digest and meaningful.
  • Quick-thinking and commercially aware; thrives in fast-paced environments with the initiative to act without waiting for instruction.
  • Understands global nuances and applies them in the work across markets.
  • Confident partnering with strategists to sharpen briefs and spot opportunities for bigger ideas.
  • Proven ability to lead and upskill a team — sharpening outputs, refining processes, raising the bar.
  • Prolific in Excel and picks up tools quickly.
  • Experience across multiple disciplines (CRM, analytics, loyalty, advertising, media) and an ability to see how they co-depend on one another
  • Experience across different sectors (e.g. FMCG, travel, financial services, retail, automotive, ecommerce)
