Data Protection Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled contractor to support our Data Privacy & Information Security team for a period of 6 to 12 months. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in privacy and security compliance, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support privacy and data protection initiatives, including GDPR and other regulatory compliance tasks. • Support audit preparation, track remediation plans, document meeting minutes, and prepare reports to ensure follow-ups and compliance activities are on track. • Work on the GRC platform, to track compliance, risks and manage dashboards. • Prepare and maintain regular reports and dashboards for the team through PowerBI or similar platforms. • Assist with AI Governance projects and conduct research and initial documentation to assess readiness for ISO 42001 or other standards and support groundwork if the decision is made to pursue implementation. • Review evolving standards and regulations across different geographies (e.g., KSA, Asia, Europe), including emerging threats, trends, and best practices in data protection and information security. • Assist in reviewing policies, procedures, and standards. • Manage and improve adoption of the InfoSec Hub page

Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or law with a focus on data privacy and information security.

• 2 + years of experience in compliance, privacy, InfoSec, legal fields • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, data privacy regulations (GDPR, ISO 27701, ISO 27001), and risk management. • Strong experience with PowerPoint

Preferred

•Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, ISO 27701, ISO 27001, CompTIA Security+). • Familiarity with security tools, frameworks, or audit processes.
