Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing the organization's data systems, ensuring the integrity and security of data, and performing network monitoring and recovery tasks. You will play a crucial role in supporting data management and infrastructure, ensuring that our systems run efficiently, and mitigating risks related to data loss or network issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Management and Maintenance:

•⁠ ⁠Maintain and manage the organization's data, including data storage, backup, and integrity checks.

•⁠ ⁠Perform regular audits to ensure data consistency and address any data discrepancies.

•⁠ ⁠Implement data organization protocols, including archiving, tagging, and categorization systems.

•⁠ ⁠Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of databases and related applications.

•⁠ ⁠Ensure data security by enforcing policies and performing data encryption and masking when required.

•⁠ ⁠Network Monitoring and Optimization:

•⁠ ⁠Monitor and maintain the performance of the organization's network systems, including servers, routers, firewalls, and switches.

•⁠ ⁠Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues to ensure minimal downtime.

Perform proactive monitoring using network management tools to ensure availability and optimize network performance.

•⁠ ⁠Assist in the configuration and maintenance of network equipment and devices.

Data Matching and Analysis:

•⁠ ⁠Perform data matching tasks to ensure consistency between different systems and datasets.

•⁠ ⁠Use data matching techniques to identify duplicate records, errors, and inconsistencies within databases.

•⁠ ⁠Collaborate with business teams to refine data matching rules and improve data accuracy.

Data Recovery and Backup Management:

•⁠ ⁠Implement and manage data backup solutions, ensuring regular and secure backups are performed.

•⁠ ⁠Coordinate and execute data recovery procedures in case of system failure, data corruption, or disasters.

•⁠ ⁠Conduct disaster recovery drills and ensure adherence to recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO).

•⁠ ⁠Troubleshoot and restore lost or corrupted data from backups or other recovery systems.

Documentation and Reporting:

•⁠ ⁠Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation related to network configuration, data management protocols, and recovery procedures.

Prepare regular reports on system health, backup status, and data recovery activities.

•⁠ ⁠Assist in creating and updating IT policies and procedures.

Collaboration and Support:

•⁠ ⁠Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data and network-related issues.

•⁠ ⁠Provide technical support to users and other departments for troubleshooting data and network-related issues.

•⁠ ⁠Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and best practices related to data management and network monitoring.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
