Job Summary

Data Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Data Modeling & Alignment

• Collaborate with

  data modelers

  to develop

  conceptual, logical, and physical data models

  aligned with

  IBM UDMH

  standards.
• Extend and customize

  IBM UDMH models

  to meet organization-specific (Ascension) requirements.
• Ensure consistency with enterprise

  data modeling standards and naming conventions

  .

Data Analysis & Profiling

• Conduct comprehensive

  data profiling and analysis

  across healthcare systems such as

  Epic, Cerner, Athena

  , and

  Oracle FDI

  .
• Assess data

  granularity, quality, volume, and refresh frequency

  .
• Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and quality issues and recommend remediation strategies.

Source-to-Target Mapping & Lineage

• Create and maintain

  source-to-target (S2T) mapping documents

  for ETL and integration workflows.
• Develop and maintain

  data lineage documentation

  to support traceability and regulatory needs.

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work with

  business, clinical, and technical teams

  to gather requirements and define

  subject-area data models

  .
• Document

  metadata

  , business definitions, and transformation logic.
• Support

  data governance protocols

  , stewardship activities, and compliance initiatives.

Tools & Technologies

• Use

  ER/Studio, ERwin, or PowerDesigner

  for data modeling and analysis.
• Leverage

  SQL, Python, and Unix scripting

  for data analysis, ETL support, and transformations.
• Work with modern data platforms including

  Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark

  , and cloud services on

  AWS and Azure

  .

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience

  as a Data Analyst, preferably in

  Healthcare

  domains.
• Strong understanding of

  healthcare data models, terminology, and workflows

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  IBM UDMH

  or similar healthcare data models.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
• Working knowledge of

  Python and Unix scripting

  for data processing.
• Experience with

  data modeling tools

  : ER/Studio, ERwin, PowerDesigner.
• Familiarity with

  Epic, Cerner, Athena

  , or similar EHR systems.
• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with

  Oracle FDI

  analytics.
• Exposure to

  big data ecosystems

  (Hadoop, Spark).
• Experience working in

  cloud-native data platforms

  (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of

  data governance, metadata management, and lineage tools
