Cyber Threat Awareness Program
The Threat Awareness candidate will perform daily tasks relating to cyber threat awareness including developing educational content and presenting that content to non-technical audiences.
This role is key in raising the awareness of information security matters and to infuse a cyber security mindset into all associates, enabling them to identify and take appropriate action as security risks arise.
This role requires a working knowledge of a broad range of cybersecurity topics, including current and emerging security threats, industry trends, counter measures, and best practices, as well as the ability to effectively communicate this knowledge to a non-technical audience as part of the Threat Awareness Team at TransUnion.
Core Duties / Responsibilities:
- Provide support for the established goals of the Threat Awareness programs using a variety of training methods and formats for our associates
- Develop regular communications on various security and threat awareness related topics
- Conduct assessments to identify and evaluate training requirements
- Develop, distribute, and provide instruction on threat awareness training materials
- Aid in implementing innovative solutions, modifications, and enhancements to security training and awareness programs based upon current cybersecurity threats and trends
- Produce in-depth reporting on simulation results and correlating defensive measures
- Consult and partner with corporate communications, technical, business, and security teams as applicable
- Coordinate or perform administrative functions as necessary to perform awareness tasks
Requirements/Skills/Qualifications:
- Two or more years of work experience in a related field such as cybersecurity awareness, information security education, or similar
- Experience monitoring the cyber security threat landscape
- Ability to navigate diverse perspectives and promote an inclusive and collaborative environment
- Ability to work with technical subject matter experts and translate technical knowledge into non-technical terms for a diverse audience
- Desire to learn and grow threat awareness knowledge and skills

As a member of the Threat Awareness program, you will play a key role in strengthening TU’s defensive capabilities and improving the company’s security posture.
- Analyze and interpret open and closed source intelligence and data and assess potential threats
- Identify and monitor the Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures used by cyber threat actors
- Utilize existing tools and processes for sharing awareness content
- Provide actionable insights and guidance to internal partners
- Utilize cyber intelligence to improve associates, ability to recognize threats, as well as the organization’s ability to defend against them
