Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Office Position Summary Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Customer Administration Specialist in Indianapolis, where you'll support our Portfolio Management group. This role is perfect for ambitious individuals looking to successfully implement and manage product master data. Key Responsibilities: Master-data Management Ensure consistency, accuracy, and accountability for critical data. Manage key sub-streams including master data for Product, Vendor, and Customer. Maintain product master data, including new item setups, descriptions, database audits, and price updates. Complete data governance at the local level as outlined in the Regional/Global Governance strategy. Ensure data consistency across multiple ERPs. Complete the product discontinuation process with clear internal communication. Product Administration Manage product extensions, price changes, discontinuations, and online SKU extensions. Support Product Managers with product queries, liaising with supplier partners and divisions. Provide support for complex quotations and tenders with product coding and alternatives. Collaborate with sales support to offer timely feedback to collaborators. Handle Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and quality-related product data. Manage customer notifications and address product issues. Digital Product Support & Strategy Implementation Maintain the product database, ensuring data integrity across multiple platforms. Act as a subject matter expert for the Product Lifecycle Management process. Own and maintain the Digital Master SKU list and product item cross-reference table. Ensure customer order issues are resolved within agreed critical metrics. Approve digital images and PDFs for publication. Coordinate the Annual Supplier List Price Movement to maintain profit integrity. Set up and maintain PROMO pricing across all platforms. Support Product Managers in communication regarding digital product queries. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Intermediate to advanced competence in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook. Tertiary qualification in a science field, including chemistry (Preferred). Proven customer service skills. Previous experience in a sales & marketing or administrative support role. Skills & Attributes: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Dedicated to achieving objectives and motivated to perform. Ability to manage customer relationships across diverse business environments. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize a high volume of work effectively. Attention to detail with high accuracy. A “customer-first” attitude. Other Job Requirements: Adhere to OHS policies and ensure a safe workplace environment.
