CS Intern

We are offering a comprehensive internship that provides hands-on exposure to corporate secretarial, legal, and regulatory functions within a closely held private limited company engaged in manufacturing, operating as a subsidiary of a foreign group. This program is designed to bridge academic learning with real-time corporate experience, enabling interns to understand both domestic and cross-border compliance frameworks.

Role Overview

During the internship, the trainee will work closely with the Company Secretary and legal team, gaining practical experience in routine compliance, documentation, and regulatory filings. The role involves active participation in:

• Preparation and filing of ROC forms
• Drafting of board & shareholder meeting notices, agendas, and minutes
• Maintenance of statutory registers and secretarial records
• Assistance in legal documentation and governance processes

Key learning areas include:

•        Corporate Law Compliance: Companies Act, 2013 filings, maintenance of records, board and shareholder meetings, and secretarial documentation.

•        RBI, FEMA & ECB Compliances: Preparation and filing of returns related to FDI, share allotments, foreign remittances, and external commercial borrowings in coordination with banks and consultants.

•        Contract Management: Drafting, vetting, and reviewing of commercial agreements, NDAs, and vendor/service contracts.

•        Manufacturing & Industrial Laws: Exposure to the Factories Act, Environment Protection Act, Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, and other labour and EHS-related compliances applicable to manufacturing units.

•        Regulatory Coordination: Liaison with statutory authorities, auditors, and group-level compliance teams for various filings, inspections, and legal reporting.

•        Legal Research & Advisory Support: Assistance in interpreting notifications, circulars, and amendments under various industrial and corporate laws.

The internship aims to develop a strong foundation in practical company law, industrial regulations, and international compliance. The intern will gain valuable insights into how legal, statutory, and operational governance come together to ensure compliant and ethical business operations in a manufacturing environment with foreign ownership.
