Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Costing Engineer with strong analytical skills and in-depth experience in electrical panel manufacturing. The role involves preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for LT/HT panels (PCC, MCC, VFD, APFC, Control Panels), analyzing material and labor costs, supporting pricing strategies, and coordinating with various departments to ensure project profitability and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations for electrical panels based on drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
• Analyze and estimate material, labor, fabrication, assembly, wiring, and testing costs.
• Coordinate with the design, procurement, production, and sales teams to ensure accurate and timely costing.
• Study technical documents such as BOQs, SLDs, and specifications to derive project cost implications.
• Develop and maintain a cost database of components, raw materials, and standard labor rates.
• Track and update material cost variations and analyze their impact on project margins.
• Evaluate supplier/vendor quotes and negotiate competitive prices in coordination with the procurement team.
• Assist in preparing commercial proposals and participate in pricing strategy discussions.
• Monitor project cost performance against the estimated budget and report any variances.
• Continuously identify opportunities to optimize cost without compromising quality or compliance.
• Prepare costing reports, margin analysis, and profitability reviews for management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Costing/Finance related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant costing experience in electrical panel manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of LT/HT electrical panels including PCC, MCC, VFD, APFC, and control panels.
• Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, costing software, and strong numerical analysis skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards (IS/IEC/UL) and knowledge of electrical components and materials.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, SLDs, and electrical BOMs.
• Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with software’s or similar costing/finance modules.
• Exposure to project budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.

Pay: ₹18,804.85 - ₹45,000.00 per month
