Costing Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Costing & Estimation Engineer (Civil & Interior) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and supporting the tendering process for civil and interior fit-out projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents to prepare accurate quantity take-offs.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, structural, architectural, and interior works.
• Evaluate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for material rate analysis and comparison.
• Support the tendering team with technical and commercial proposals.
• Assist in pricing, budget preparation, and final submission of tenders.
• Work closely with project managers and engineers to update cost forecasts and budgets.
• Conduct site visits (if required) to assess actual site conditions for estimation.
• Maintain cost databases, vendor quotes, and market rates.
• Ensure compliance with industry norms, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in value engineering and cost optimization during the project design phase.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of civil & interior construction materials, methods, and processes.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings.
• Expertise in estimation software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Excel, Candy, CostX, etc.).
• Familiarity with rate analysis and tendering procedures.
• Good negotiation skills with vendors and subcontractors.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in handling interior fit-out estimation (false ceiling, partition, flooring, joinery, finishes, etc.).
• Working knowledge of IS codes, CPWD, and DSR rates.
• Prior experience with commercial or hotel/retail fit-out projects is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
