Senior Construction Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations for our construction projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in construction accounting, project cost management, and statutory compliance. This role requires hands-on experience in handling multiple project accounts, contractor billing, vendor payments, and coordination with site teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and monitor project-wise accounts, ledgers, and journals.
• Oversee contractor & subcontractor billing, work certification, and payment processes.
• Verify material receipts, GRNs, and site expenditures with supporting documents.
• Ensure accurate project cost booking and comparison with budgets/BOQs.
• Prepare and monitor cash flows, MIS reports, and project profitability reports.
• Manage TDS, GST, PF, ESI and other statutory compliance filings on time.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, consultants, and government departments.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules.
• Monitor advances, recoveries, vendor reconciliations, and aging reports.
• Support the finance team in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Requirements:

• B.Com / M.Com / CA-Inter or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 5–10 years of accounting experience in the construction or infrastructure sector
• Strong knowledge of construction billing formats, WBS, RA Bills, and site accounting
• Hands-on experience in Tally or ERP software
• Good understanding of taxation laws (GST, TDS) and labour compliance
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Excel and report generation

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
