Job Description

Job Title: EstimatorAs an Estimator, you will collaborate with various project service teams to ensure accurate and timely preparation of cost estimates for large capital projects. You will lead and coordinate cost estimation efforts, providing advice and analysis to support cost-effective project development.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineering, execution, development planning, procurement, construction, and logistics teams to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
Provide advice and analysis for cost-effective project development.
Lead and coordinate cost estimation efforts for large capital projects.
Develop and steward estimate development plans to coordinate inputs and document bases for estimates.
Conduct and support peer reviews for capital project estimates.
Participate in contractor development of estimates and contract bid evaluations.
Perform reconciliations of cost estimates through a project's initial development.
Provide expert thought leadership and work with limited direction.

Essential Skills

Minimum 10 years of experience in cost estimation.
Knowledge of construction methods used in industrial construction.
Understanding of risk and its incorporation into cost estimations.
Strong consulting, communication, analytical, and influencing skills.
Project management aptitude and experience.
Analysis capabilities including continuous improvement experience or certifications.
Experience developing historical cost databases.
Proficiency in cost estimation applications.
Experience with projects exceeding $50MM in CAPEX, preferably $250MM+.
AspenTech Capital Cost Estimator proficiency.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bilingual in Mandarin, Portuguese, and/or Spanish is a plus.

Work Environment
The work environment involves collaborating with various teams using advanced tools and procedures. The role may require bilingual communication skills.
