Analyze product designs, drawings, and specifications to estimate material, labor, and overhead costs. Prepare cost breakdowns for new product development, custom orders, and RFQs. Collaborate with design, production, and procurement teams to gather cost-related inputs. Evaluate BOMs (Bill of Materials) and routings for cost estimation and optimization. Monitor actual production costs and compare them with estimated costs to identify variances. Work on cost reduction initiatives without compromising on quality and performance. Assist in pricing strategy formulation by providing cost analysis reports to management. Maintain cost databases and update standard costs periodically. Support audits and provide documentation related to costing and pricing. Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance cost efficiency.
