Job Summary: The Quotation & Cost Estimation Lead is responsible for managing the quotation team to deliver accurate, competitive, and timely project quotations. This role involves reviewing client requirements, analyzing project drawings, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring adherence to company pricing standards and profitability goals. Key Responsibilities: Quotation Management:Lead the quotation team in preparing accurate and competitive project quotations based on client requirements and specifications. Review and analyze project documents, including design drawings, technical specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Collaborate with the sales, design, and production teams to gather required inputs. Ensure all quotations meet company pricing policies, quality standards, and profitability targets. Cost Estimation and Analysis:Apply cost accounting principles to estimate costs for materials, labor, overheads, and related expenses. Analyze project requirements and identify cost drivers and potential cost optimization areas. Monitor and compare actual project costs against estimates, addressing variances as necessary. Team Leadership and Management:Supervise and guide the quotation team to ensure efficient performance. Assign tasks, set measurable goals, and review work progress regularly. Conduct performance evaluations and support team skill development. Foster a culture of teamwork, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Client Engagement and Support:Support the sales team by understanding client requirements and providing accurate quotations. Attend client meetings or presentations to clarify technical and cost-related queries. Ensure timely responses to client inquiries regarding pricing and breakdowns. Maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and service. Process Enhancement and Standardization:Continuously evaluate and refine the quotation process for efficiency and accuracy. Develop standardized templates, costing tools, and documentation systems. Coordinate with design, production, and procurement teams to align on updated costing data and best practices. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Cost Accounting, Business Administration, Mechanical / Furniture Technology, or related field. 4–5 years of experience in furniture costing, project estimation, or related functions. Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and project estimation techniques. Proficiency in estimation or ERP software (Odoo, SAP, or similar). Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. High attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.
