Summary:

The Corporate Real Estate Manager is part of Amgen’s Global Workspace Solutions team and reports to the Corporate Real Estate Manager. Global Workspace Solutions delivers innovative and effective space solutions that enable energized and engaging workplaces in support of Amgen’s strategy.

The Corporate Real Estate Manager is responsible for planning, design and utilization of office and laboratory spaces globally in support of strategic master plans and real estate strategies. This role partners with GWS Real Estate team to ensure design and scope is in alignment with strategic master plans.
In addition, the Corporate Real Estate Manager will collaborate closely with site management, clients and Facilities and Engineering teams to ensure the successful construction and implementation of new office and laboratory spaces.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Delivers space planning for projects of new construction, renovation and operations with broad and expanding knowledge of laboratory and office requirements.
  • Performs broad project related tasks of scope definition, programming, space planning, test-fitting and project coordination at the front-end planning phase.
  • Provides current and relevant knowledge of technology /collaboration integration into holistic workspace environment.
  • Follows standard operating processes and develops process improvements to drive desired project/business results.
  • Identifies potential opportunities and extends capabilities by working closely with senior staff/experts within and outside internal organization.
  • Assists in the update of the regional project tracker through all phases.
  • Assists in maintaining an updated layout database of all properties.
  • Acts as back-up for all aspects of projects in the absence of the Corporate Real Estate Senior Manager.

Skills

Must-have:

  • Project and time management

  • Proficiency in AutoCad

  • Strong presentation skills (written and verbal)

  • Ability to work with teams across different time zones

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Ability to problem solve and drive process efficiencies

  • Interest and experience in using technology to improve work efficiency

Preferred

  • Strength in leading teams, managing multiple projects

  • Experience in Corporate Real Estate or Workplace Strategy functions

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Architecture or Interior Design

  • 9-12 years of experience
