Job Description

A Corporate Cricket Development Officer (CCDO) is a specialized role focused on managing and expanding cricket initiatives within a corporate environment. This role differs from grassroots development by prioritizing B2B engagement, employee wellness, and corporate branding through the sport. focuses on increasing participation and improving the quality of cricket with recreational, community sectors including commercial or corporate entities

Core Responsibilities

  • Corporate League Management: Organizing and overseeing internal or inter-corporate cricket tournaments (e.g., T10 or T20 formats) that foster team building and networking.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Building and maintaining relationships with corporate sponsors, government agencies, and national sports bodies to secure funding and support for cricket projects.
  • Business Development: Identifying new revenue streams through sponsorship deals, facility rentals (gyms, sports halls), and activity programs.
  • Brand & Media Strategy: Developing marketing strategies to enhance the visibility of the organization's cricket initiatives and positioning them as leaders in sports administration.
  • Employee Wellness & Inclusion: Designing programs that use cricket to teach values like teambuilding, discipline, and perseverance, often including specific initiatives for diversity and inclusion (e.g., Men's / Women's corporate teams).Event Sales & Logistics: Managing the end-to-end sales cycle for corporate events, from initial pitch and contract negotiation to on-site execution and post-event reporting.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: A degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or Marketing is standard.
  • Sales & Negotiation: High-level skills in cold calling, pitching to key decision-makers, and closing sponsorship deals.
  • Cricket Expertise: While primarily a management role, a deep understanding of cricket techniques, tactics, and international regulations (ICC/BCCI) is often required.
  • Technical Literacy: Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, etc.) and data collection tools for performance monitoring and reporting.
