Controller

We are a US company and are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to lead our accounting operations. This role is responsible for closing the books on a monthly basis, managing tax filings, and ensuring the integrity of financial data. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, hold a CPA or equivalent certification, and be proficient in QuickBooks and US accounting and tax laws.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and execute the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare, review, and submit financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Coordinate and support income and sales tax filings, including gathering necessary documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Maintain and improve internal accounting processes and controls.
• Support audit and year-end financial processes.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or equivalent certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance (adjust as needed).
• Proficiency with QuickBooks is required.
• Experience in SaaS industry is required
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and tax regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
