Job Description

Consultant-level Infrastructure Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Automate the creation, testing, and deployment of Windows Server templates for both virtualized and physical environments using

    Jenkins

    and

    Tekton CI/CD pipelines

    .
  • Automate installation, upgrades, and configuration of

    Windows Server Operating Systems

    across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures using tools such as

    Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell

    .
  • Implement

    infrastructure-as-code (IaC)

    and

    GitOps practices

    to streamline deployment processes and eliminate manual tasks.
  • Ensure

    security, performance optimization, and compliance

    within Windows Server environments.
  • Provide

    L3 engineering support

    to operations teams, troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy infrastructure across

    on-premises data centers, manufacturing plants, and cloud platforms

    .
  • Leverage cloud-native services and technologies such as

    Kubernetes, OpenShift, and storage-as-a-service

    to enable scalable and cost-effective solutions.

Required Skills

  • Automation & Infrastructure:

    Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Jenkins, Tekton, CI/CD, GitHub, GitOps
  • Systems Engineering:

    Windows Server Administration, Linux fundamentals, Virtualization (VMware, OpenShift), Cloud Infrastructure (Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure)
  • Operations & Support:

    ITIL Service Management, L3 Support, Capacity Planning, Performance Tuning, Observability & Metrics
  • Technical Practices:

    Documentation, Technical Analysis, Testing, Infrastructure Security

Preferred Skills

  • Scripting & Development: Python, Java, Ruby, Groovy, or equivalent
  • Advanced Infrastructure: IIS, Clustering, VMware, Kubernetes, Hardware Manageability (HPE, Dell, SuperMicro)
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and senior leadership

Qualifications

  • Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline (required)
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience:

  • Minimum

    5 years of progressive experience

    in Windows Server Engineering and automation
  • Hands-on expertise in CI/CD pipeline tools, automation frameworks, and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Familiarity with both

    Windows and Linux administration tools

  • Certifications (Preferred):

    MCSA, MCSE, MCP, or equivalent technical certifications
