Community Mobilizer

Position Summary:

The Community Mobilizer is responsible for identifying, motivating, and enrolling eligible candidates from the community into skill development and livelihood programs. The role involves grassroots outreach, community networking, awareness generation, and ensuring participation of target beneficiaries in training and employment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Community Outreach & Awareness

• Conduct field visits, door-to-door campaigns, and community meetings to identify potential trainees.
• Organize mobilization and awareness activities such as camps, street plays, or village meetings.
• Build rapport with local stakeholders — panchayats, SHGs, youth clubs, schools, NGOs, and local leaders.
• Ensure that community members are well-informed about training benefits, eligibility, and outcomes.

2. Candidate Identification & Counselling

• Identify youth and women from marginalized and low-income communities for enrollment.
• Conduct preliminary counselling sessions to assess candidates’ interest and suitability for various trades.
• Support documentation and verification of candidate eligibility as per project norms.
• Coordinate with the counselling team to schedule interviews and orientation sessions.

3. Data Collection & Reporting

• Maintain a database of potential and enrolled candidates with complete details.
• Collect demographic and baseline data from target communities.
• Submit daily/weekly field visit reports, enrolment trackers, and outreach records to the Centre Manager.
• Assist in MIS data entry and reporting requirements.

4. Coordination & Follow-Up

• Work closely with the training centre team to ensure smooth enrolment and attendance.
• Follow up with candidates and their families to ensure course completion and reduce dropouts.
• Assist placement and post-placement teams in maintaining contact with alumni for success stories and retention support.

5. Stakeholder Engagement

• Develop relationships with local government bodies, industry representatives, and CSR partners.
• Represent the organization at community events, job fairs, and livelihood exhibitions.
• Facilitate field visits by donors or government officials when required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Minimum 10+2 / Graduate in any discipline (preferably in Social Work, Rural Development, Sociology, or related field).
• Experience: 1–4 years in community mobilization, outreach, or fieldwork (preferably in livelihood, education, or social development projects).
• Experience working with youth, women, or rural communities will be an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in local language(s).
• Strong community engagement and networking ability.
• Basic computer literacy (MS Office, WhatsApp, Google Forms, etc.).
• Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable with extensive field travel.
• Ability to work with diverse communities and under target-driven environments.
• Empathetic attitude and strong belief in youth empowerment.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Monthly enrolment targets achieved.
• Number of awareness/mobilization activities conducted.
• Conversion rate of mobilized candidates to enrolled trainees.
• Attendance and retention of candidates during training.
• Community partnerships established and maintained.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
