About the Role:

Community Manager

This role is perfect for someone who lives online, enjoys creating buzz, and knows how to turn passive followers into an active, loyal, and inspired community.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, grow, and manage our online communities (Discord, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) with a student-first approach.
  • Create and manage content calendars, including AMAs, spotlight stories, challenges, and student polls.
  • Initiate and moderate conversations among students, mentors, and alumni — keeping engagement high and the tone friendly, inclusive, and brand-aligned.
  • Organize virtual events, town halls, and community activations in collaboration with the marketing and student experience teams.
  • Monitor community sentiment, flag concerns, and recommend improvements to the broader team.
  • Track engagement metrics and prepare monthly reports on community growth and activity.
  • Develop onboarding flows and resources to help new members feel welcome and informed.


Qualifications:

  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Discord, LinkedIn groups, Telegram, and other online community platforms.
  • Passionate about education, mentorship, and youth-driven spaces.
  • A natural community-builder — you're approachable, responsive, and know how to make people feel heard.
  • Able to work independently and juggle multiple conversations/events at once.

Bonus:

  • Experience managing student communities or EdTech audiences.
  • Ability to create simple visuals (Canva) or edit short video clips.
  • Experience with automation tools like Zapier or community CRMs.
