Job Description

Job Profile

Key Responsibilities
1. Media & Press Relations

Draft, edit, and disseminate press releases, media advisories, and statements highlighting TERI-s research, events, and policy contributions. Coordinate with internal teams to obtain quotes and expert comments from relevant speakers, researchers, and panelists.
Ensure timely and targeted dissemination of press materials to national, regional, and occasionally international media outlets.
Interact regularly with media agencies and journalists to keep them abreast of TERI-s activities, ongoing initiatives, and key developments.
Maintain and update comprehensive media contact databases; track and compile media coverage reports.
Position TERI-s experts strategically in Category-A media through interviews, authored articles, etc.
Facilitate media representation at conferences, press briefings, and networking events.

2. YouTube and Digital Channel Management

Manage and grow TERI-s YouTube channel, including planning, uploading, and optimizing content for audience reach and engagement.
Develop strategies to increase subscriptions, followers, and viewer interaction.
Coordinate production of high-quality video content, ensuring alignment with TERI-s communication goals.

3. Social Media & Digital Channels:

Content creation and scheduling
Performance analysis of all institutional social media accounts (e.g., X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and the YouTube channel.

Experience

4 - 5 Years

Qualification

- Education: Master-s degree in Communications- Journalism- Public Relations- or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in communications- public relations- or digital media- preferably in a research- policy- or development organization.

Skills

Technical Proficiency
- Proven experience in press release writing- media coordination- and digital dissemination. - Strong command over YouTube management- SEO- and video analytics. - Familiarity with graphic design tools (Photoshop- Canva- etc.) is an added advantage. Core Skills

Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into engaging narratives.

- Strong understanding of media landscapes- digital engagement metrics- and audience development strategies.

Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
Proactive approach with a passion for sustainability communication and storytelling.
