Safetipin (www.safetipin.com) is a social impact organization working towards Building Responsive, Inclusive, Safe and Equitable Urban Systems. We collaborate with government and non- government stakeholders in using big data to improve infrastructure and services in cities. We are a small multi-disciplinary group of social scientists, architects, urban planners, designers and technologists.

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Communications Associate to join our team full-time, with a strong focus on social media management and digital communication. This role is ideal for an early-career professional eager to grow in the fields of gender, urban development, and digital storytelling.

Responsibilities

·        Plan, create, and manage content for Safetipin’s social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, X, etc.)

·        Design engaging visuals, infographics, and digital assets using Canva or other design tools

·        Assist in the development and execution of communications campaigns and digital outreach for programs and partnerships

·        Support content writing, editing, and proofreading for blogs, reports, and publications

·        Help maintain and update content on Safetipin’s website

·        Coordinate communications support for events, campaigns, and external engagements

Desired Skills and Qualifications



·        Bachelor’s degree in communications, media, journalism, design, or a related field

·        0–2 years of relevant experience in communications, digital media, or content creation

·        Strong writing and editing skills in English

·        Good proficiency in design tools like Canva (experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Procreate is a plus)

·        Interest in gender, urban issues, and social impact work

·        Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a small, collaborative team
