About Us:

We are a multidisciplinary team at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, working on the design and development of affordable and user-centric products for people with diabetes. Our focus is on creating impactful, user-friendly healthcare solutions that address accessibility, affordability, and usability challenges. The project involves collaboration between engineers, designers, researchers, and healthcare professionals, with the goal of delivering a life-changing medical device for the Indian market.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Communications Design Intern to join our team. The intern will play a key role in conceptualizing and creating visual communication materials to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. This position offers hands-on experience in design for healthcare, with a focus on videos, animations, graphic design, and digital content creation and packaging.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop high-quality communication materials for project dissemination, including videos, graphics, animations, and infographics.

- Capture, edit, and produce engaging video content.

- Translate technical ideas into clear, visually appealing communication for general audiences.

- Assist fellow members in executing a task.

- Collaborate with team members across design, engineering, and research to align on messaging and timelines.

- Document project progress visually and textually for presentations, reports, and publications.

- Ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks in line with project schedules.

Qualifications:

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Animation, Multimedia, or a related field.

- Strong skills in graphic design and proficiency with tools such as Adobe Suite, After Effects, Premiere Pro or equivalent.

- Experience with video capture, editing, and motion graphics.

- Ability to conceptualize and execute as required.

- Good documentation skills and attention to detail.

- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience with either packaging design or video communication
