Job Description

Mechanical R&D Intern – Position 1

Experience: 0–1 Years

Location: Bengaluru, India (IISc Campus)

Salary: As per lab norms

Key Responsibilities

Design and assemble components using SolidWorks.
Manage vendor interactions for project needs.
Prepare SOPs and documentation for assigned tasks.
Conduct FEA simulations to assess design concepts.
Prototype designs using additive manufacturing.

Essential Skills

CAD proficiency with SolidWorks
Dynamic motion simulation
FEA/FEM multiphysics simulation
Additive manufacturing knowledge
Strong documentation skills
Teamwork and coordination abilities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

Desirable Skills & Additional Tasks

Experience with medical device development
Theoretical design calculations
Modeling, modifying, and simulating kinematic chains
Prototyping kinematic chain components
Meeting project schedules and deadlines
