Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for identifying and generating new commercial leads through various methods such as research, networking, field visits, and referrals. Understanding client needs related to energy usage, roof/space characteristics, subsidies, and constraints will be crucial. Working closely with the technical/design team, you will prepare accurate proposals and quotations for solar panels, inverters, and structures. Negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure commercial viability and margin targets will also be part of your role. Additionally, you will follow up with clients, address objections, and close deals while coordinating with internal teams to ensure project delivery aligns with quality expectations and timelines. Maintaining regular communication with existing commercial clients for service, maintenance, upgrades, or expansions will be essential. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and generate new commercial leads through research, networking, field visits, and referrals. - Understand client needs in terms of energy usage, roof/space characteristics, subsidies, and constraints. - Collaborate with the technical/design team to prepare accurate proposals and quotations for solar panels, inverters, and structures. - Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure commercial viability and margin targets. - Follow up with clients, address objections, and close deals. - Coordinate with internal teams to ensure project delivery aligns with quality expectations and timelines. - Maintain regular communication with existing commercial clients for service, maintenance, upgrades, or expansions. - Track and report sales pipeline, forecasts, results vs targets. - Monitor competitor offers and market trends, and suggest pricing or product improvements. - Ensure customer satisfaction post-installation and handle complaints or requests. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales/Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. - Prior experience (2-5 years) in B2B/commercial sales, preferably in solar/renewable energy or related technical fields. Freshers may be considered if they demonstrate a strong aptitude and willingness to learn. - Strong communication and negotiation skills. - Good understanding of technical concepts in solar PV, including panels, inverters, efficiencies, and structures. - Ability to conduct site visits to assess physical and technical feasibility. - Comfortable preparing technical proposals and quotations. - Customer-centric approach with strong relationship building and after-sales follow-up skills. - Ability to work independently and in a team. - Fluency in English and Malayalam is preferred. Additional Company Details: The company prefers candidates with experience in MNRE subsidy schemes and policies in Kerala, managing large commercial or institutional clients, familiarity with solar system performance monitoring, maintenance, and AMC contracts, technical training or certification in solar energy or renewable energy, and the ability to travel frequently for site visits.
