Job Description for Collection Staff

The Collection Staff will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding payments from clients and maintaining proper records of transactions. This role requires professionalism, strong communication, and negotiation abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact clients with overdue payments via phone, email, or in person to encourage timely repayment and suggest suitable payment plans.
• Monitor assigned accounts on a regular basis to identify unresolved debts and update records of collection activity.
• Investigate reasons for payment delays and resolve billing or account issues with customers.
• Process payments and refunds, and coordinate closely with the accounts department for accurate record-keeping.
• Prepare regular reports on collection activities and outstanding accounts.​
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies and legal regulations related to debt collection.

Skills & Qualification

• Prior experience in a similar collection, accounts receivable, or field collection role is preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple accounts simultaneously.
• Familiarity with basic accounting procedures and record management.
• Ability to work independently and resolve client payment issues professionally.
• Minimum qualification: High school diploma or equivalent; higher education is an advantage.

Working Conditions

• Office and field visits within Coimbatore and surrounding areas may be required.
• Standard business hours with flexibility for extra hours if needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
