Role Overview

Collection Executive

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage

    end-to-end collections

    process for assigned US healthcare accounts (patients & payers).
  • Handle

    first-party collections

    (direct provider-patient engagement) and

    third-party collections

    (insurance, agencies, payers).
  • Follow up on

    outstanding patient balances, unpaid claims, and denials

    with tact and professionalism.
  • Engage with patients over phone/email to negotiate payment arrangements, resolve billing queries, and ensure

    positive patient experience

  • Collaborate with internal teams (AR, billing, coding, and denial management) for

    account resolution

    .
  • Maintain detailed, accurate notes of all patient/insurance interactions in the system.
  • Ensure compliance with

    HIPAA, FDCPA, and US healthcare collection laws

    at all times.
  • Meet and exceed monthly collection targets and KPIs.
  • Provide feedback on recurring denial/payment trends to leadership for process improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of core US healthcare collection experience

    (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of

    first-party & third-party collections

    in US healthcare.
  • Familiarity with

    RCM processes

    – billing, coding, payment posting, denials, AR follow-up.
  • Excellent

    verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong negotiation and

    patient engagement skills

    to drive revenue recovery.
  • Proficient in MS Office, healthcare collection tools/portals, and EMR/EHR systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to identify payer/denial trends.
  • Ability to work in a

    target-driven, fast-paced environment

  • Flexible for

    US shift timings

    (Night Shifts – EST/PST support).
