As part of our growth journey, we are seeking a Co-Founder & Chief Food Technologist Officer to join our leadership team. This role offers the unique opportunity to combine your expertise in food safety and compliance with the spirit of entrepreneurship, helping shape a high-impact food-tech venture from the ground up.

Role Overview:

Co-Founder & Chief Food Technologist Officer. As a founding member, you will lead the R&D, nutrition, food science, product stability, safety, and process innovation across all multiple brands.This role goes beyond traditional food technologist responsibilities—it demands an entrepreneurial mindset, innovation, and leadership to create scalable, safe, and nutritionally superior products.You will work directly with the Executive Chef & Business Founder to build a strong food, Health & Wellness Tech ecosystem from scratch.

Key Responsibilities:

✳️ Product Research & Development (R&D): ✳️ Develop nutritionally balanced formulations for multiple food products.✳️ Conduct ingredient research, nutritional profiling & standardization.✳️ Develop recipes with shelf-life, food safety, and stability in mind.✳️ Innovate clean-label, preservative-free formulations.

Food Safety, Hygiene & Compliance:

✳️Ensure full compliance with FSSAI regulations.✳️ Create SOPs for hygiene, food safety, storage & handling.✳️ Develop HACCP, CCP & process control standards.✳️ Conduct regular kitchen audits.

Process & System Development:

✳️ Build scalable production processes for all categories.✳️ Define recipe standardization, portion control & consistency guidelines. ✳️ Create step-by-step processing workflows for kitchen teams.✳️ Implement cold-chain safety and ingredient holding standards.

Nutritional Analysis & Menu Engineering:

✳️ Calculate and provide nutritional information for all menu items.✳️ Develop health-focused products.✳️ Create high-nutrient, low-calorie product lines.✳️ Work with chefs to balance taste + nutrition + affordability.

Quality Assurance (QA/QC):

✳️ Lead raw-material quality checks.✳️ Approve vendors based on safety & nutrition standards.✳️ Monitor batch consistency, sensory evaluation & shelf-life testing.

Collaboration & Leadership:

✳️ Work closely with the Executive Chef on product innovation.✳️ Train kitchen teams on SOPs, food safety, nutrition & processes.✳️ Collaborate with marketing teams for product claims, nutritional highlights, and packaging content.✳️ Support tech team in building data-backed nutrition features on the app.

Startup Leadership (Co-Founder Role):

✳️ Participate in strategic decision-making.✳️ Contribute to brand building & product category expansion.✳️ Help build company culture, systems and long-term growth pathways.✳️ Act as a spokesperson for food science, nutrition & product quality.

Who You Are:✅

Degree in Food Technology only.✅ 6 to 15 years of experience in food R&D, food tech, beverage development or FMCG.✅ Strong knowledge of:

Nutrition science, Food safety (FSSAI, HACCP), Food microbiology, Ingredient functionalityProcess engineering

.✅

Experience with fresh foods, clean-label products & cold-chain items.

Experience in scaling recipes from kitchen → production.✅ Ability to work closely with chefs & operations teams.

Personal & Founding Mindset:

✅ Entrepreneur mindset (ownership, initiative, leadership).✅ Comfortable working in an early-stage startup.✅ Excited to build from scratch.✅ Hands-on involvement in initial R&D & kitchen trials.✅ Strong problem-solving and innovation skills.✅ Not looking for a typical corporate 9–6 role.

Financial Stability (Year 1+ Requirement):

✅ Must have a personal financial runway to sustain 12 to 15 months without fixed salary.✅ Fully aware that early-stage startup rewards come later through equity and initially profit-sharing.

Language & Location:

✅ Bengali – Native.✅ English – Professional.✅ Hindi – Conversational.✅ Must be in Kolkata or willing to relocate for 15 months.

Compensation Structure:Year 1:

🌿 No fixed salary.🌿 Monthly profit-sharing from Day 1 of profit calculation.🌿 Founding equity (to be discussed).

Year 2+:

🌿 Structured salary.🌿 Leadership bonuses.
