Job Description

Overview A CMDB Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of the organization's Configuration Management Database. They work closely with IT teams to track and manage configuration items (CIs), ensuring compliance with ITIL standards and supporting IT service management processes. What You Will Be Doing Maintain and update the CMDB to ensure accurate records of IT assets and configurations. Analyze CMDB data to identify trends, relationships, and dependencies between CIs. Collaborate with IT teams to gather requirements and validate data inputs. Ensure proper integration of systems feeding into the CMDB. Support incident, problem, and change management processes using CMDB insights. Provide administration, maintenance, optimization, and technical support for CMDB-related tools. Ensure compliance with ITIL and other industry standards for configuration management. Develop reports and dashboards to provide visibility into IT assets and configurations. What Will Make You Successful Strong understanding of ITIL framework and configuration management principles. Experience with CMDB tools like ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or similar platforms. Ability to analyze and interpret CMDB data to support IT service management. Knowledge of IT networks, databases, and infrastructure components. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams. Experience in data validation, integration, and reporting. Proficiency in logging tools such as Splunk or equivalent, with foundational knowledge in PowerShell and Unix shell scripting for data analysis and automation Show more Show less
