About The Role

We are seeking a

Tech Lead

to drive cloud infrastructure initiatives in the capacity of

Cloud Engineer / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer / Cloud Architect

. You will craft technical solutions to challenging problems while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders and global colleagues, ensuring secure, scalable, and modern infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and optimize our cloud-based hosting services, increasing our reliance on Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Configuration Management tooling.
  • Manage and maintain our extensive cloud-based hosting environments, automating and improving existing infrastructure to reduce manual workloads and enhance security.
  • Design, configure, and document secure cloud systems, leveraging defense-in-depth strategies and cyber risk mitigation best practices.
  • Partner with internal business units (Retail, Health & Life Sciences, etc.) to understand needs and identify opportunities for hosting and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Advise and support teams building on our internal PaaS hosting solutions, and collaborate with clients seeking modernization.
  • Contribute to and execute against a strategic roadmap for the technical development of our hosting offerings.
  • Write, test, and deliver high-quality infrastructure components aligned with the roadmap.
  • Manage multiple workstreams effectively while setting and maintaining appropriate priorities.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with senior stakeholders and global colleagues.

Experience & Skills

We are looking for a well-rounded technologist with:
  • Experience working in both AWS and Azure environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud systems architecture and administration, including cloud networking and routing, IAM, configuration, OS-level administration, architecture documentation, and decision-making.
  • Strong background in working with IT security policies, audit controls, and processes.
  • Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), configuration management tooling, and modern DevSecOps practices.
  • A pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset, applying the right technologies to effectively solve problems.
  • Strong communication skills to work efficiently with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure

  • Database Platforms: Relational (MSSQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB, Hadoop)
  • Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, CheckMK, Nagios, Grafana, Splunk, DataDog
  • Networking: VLANs, Subnets, Load Balancing, OSI Model, Network File Sharing Protocols, VPN Technologies
  • Scripting: Python, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell, AWS CLI, Azure CLI/PowerShell
