Cloud Engineer

Overview:

We seek an experienced professional who will be operating on cutting edge technologies and agile development processes to design extremely reliable, scalable, and high-performing applications.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Hands-on experience with Linux systems (Amazon Linux/Redhat/CentOS or similar

distributions) and Windows (2012 R2 and 2016) along with system services like DNS/DHCP,

NFS, SYSLOG, SSH, SSL, etc.

Deploying, configuring and deploying Data insight tools (ELK Stack, Splunk etc.) Hands-on with design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of AWS compute security, storage, logging, and monitoring as required.

Comprehensive experience with AWS technologies including solid understanding of S3, EBS, EC2, EFS, RDS, ECS, EKS, ELB/ALB, IAM, VPC, CloudTrail, and CloudWatch, KMS, System Manager, Route53, Cert Manager, Secrets Manager.

Knowledge of networking fundamentals and network requirements for cloud to on premise connectivity.

Demonstrated experience migrating on-premises applications to cloud-based offerings and supporting their operation Code/script in administrative type languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, Bash, Ruby), but also traditional programming languages such as Java.

Additionally required is working experience using data serialization languages (JSON, YAML)

Design with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc.)

Knowledge of relational databases; particularly Oracle 12g and later with in depth SQL and SQLPlus expertise

Orchestrate technologies (e.g. AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.) with cloud-based software development tools and methodologies (e.g. Git, CI/CD, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, Build Automation and Testing, etc.)

Working on container technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Docker, AWS ECS, etc.)

Qualifications and Skills:

4+ years of experience

Degree in computer science or a similar field.

Certifications desired in cloud computing (AWS Solution Architect, AWS SysOps Administrator, AWS DevOps Engineer, etc.)

Nice to have - Experience with other cloud providers (i.e. Azure, GCP, etc.).

Experience in operating on premise and cloud infrastructure and applications.
