Job Description

JOB PURPOSE (Overall Objective) The Cloud Engineer will play a critical role in building,maintaining, monitoring, optimizing , and troubleshooting Eternal Robotics' hybrid cloud infrastructure for Hypervise. The position focuses on ensuring seamless performance of AI-based video processing pipelines , reliable GCP service orchestration, and low-latency data movement between edge IPCs and the cloud backend. JOB PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES and JOB CONTENT Monitor and maintain GCP infrastructure including Cloud Run , Cloud Functions , Cloud Scheduler , and Pub/Sub . Manage and optimize firestore databases , buckets , memory stores , and service logs . Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for real-time computer vision data ingestion and processing . Monitor CPU/GPU usage , network health , and latency issues across distributed infrastructure. Implement disaster recovery , backup , and load balancing strategies . Collaborate with full-stack, and CV teams for system health audits and root cause analysis. Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or Deployment Manager . Configure IAM roles , OAuth , and service accounts for secure data exchange. Support edge-to-cloud communication pipelines (from IPC/Jetson Orin to GCP backend). Handle maintenance windows, patches, and real-time alerts (using tools like Cloud Monitoring , Stackdriver , etc). ORGANISATION CHART: CTO → Lead Cloud Architect → Cloud Engineer PERSON SPECIFICATION KRAs : Stability of Hypervise cloud infrastructure. Uptime of AI pipelines and edge-cloud communication. Efficiency of deployment cycles and fixes. KPIs : 98% cloud service uptime Incident resolution within < 4 hours 30% improvement in resource utilization on GCP QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science / Cloud Computing / Information Technology or related fields. Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in full stack software engineering and 1+ years of managing cloud infrastructure (preferably GCP) in production. Skills: GCP stack: Cloud Run, Firestore, Pub/Sub, Scheduler, IAM, Cloud Monitoring Docker, Kubernetes (GKE optional), Terraform Bash/Python scripting for automation Understanding of networking, firewall rules, NAT, VPC peering Familiarity with Linux environments and NGINX Nice to have: Worked on edge-AI setups (Jetson IPCs, RTSP ingestion) TECHNICAL SKILLS: GCP (Cloud Run, Firestore, IAM)-Expert DevOps Tools (Docker, CI/CD, Monitoring)-Advanced Python/Bash Scripting-Advanced Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)-Intermediate Edge-Cloud Communication-Intermediate DIMENSIONS Number of projects: 2+ active projects annually.
